Razer acquires OUYA
On Monday, Razer publicly announced the acquisition of OUYA. The company will take over OUYA's software and development teams, to "bolster its own Android-powered set-top box." Razer wants to move OUYA's userbase, games, controllers, and accounts to its own platform and hardware. To do so, it will also rebrand the OUYA store to 'Cortex for Forge TV'. Steam account vulnerability
Valve's Steam platform suffered a security vulnerability last week. From July 21 to July 25, it was possible to use the account recovery process to hack someone's account. Valve has since fixed this bug, stating actual passwords were not exposed. To better protect your account, you can activate Steam Guard, with two-factor authentication.
The Battle for Wesnoth needs you
Twelve years ago, David White started an open source project to create the game, The Battle for Wesnoth. The project is understaffed, and has an aging codebase, so they need your help! The project is looking for C++ and Python programmers, as well as, WML coders. If you want to get involved, check out wesnoth.org.

Victor Vran
The demon hunting RPG, Victor Vran by Haemimont Games, as Linux Games News writes, "features four player online co-op gameplay, a class-less gear-based character progression system, dozens of secrets, over 400 different challenges and dynamic difficulty personalization." It's available for Linux, Steam, and several other platforms.

Zotrix
Do you like classic arcade space shooters? Well, here's Zotrix! A strategy space RPG, just released for Linux, with classic and new features that is ready for the current generation of gaming. Find it on Steam.

Kyn
Tangrin and Versus Evil announced the release of Kyn, an action RPG game. It is available on platforms such as Steam and GoG.com. Linux Games News reached out to Tangrin who said the Linux version can be expected soon.
