I currently handle the IT support for a large local business. Although I use Windows everyday, you will find I try to use Linux and open source software anytime I can. I use Linux at home on several RPI2 devices and computers. I dabble in audio still but IoT has become a passion of mine recently. I am currently studying for The Linux Foundation System Administrator certification.
When I am not working on computers or IoT devices, you will find me outside on my family farm. Yes, you heard right. I love spending time with my wife and children on the farm. They are the reason I do what I do everyday.
You can usually find mind on LinkedIn. Send me an email any time.

Great article David. I use my PI2 mainly for media severs but I do have one acting a file sharing server. As of right now, I am using IPFire as my firewall software on a regular desktop. I might try to see if IPFire will run on either the PI2 or PI3 as I never really have thought of the PI as something like a firewall.
Again, thank you David for the insight and a great article.
In respects of the Mint issue; what was sad to me was that multiple people bashed Mint and Linux in general one it. It was a simple Wordpress bug ans ISO redirect. It's not like that has never happened to any other proprietary software. It has been very much noted about how open and forth coming the Mint admins were on the breach and how quickly it was resolved. I do not think any other propriety software company would be so forth coming or react as fast as the Mint admins did. Just my 2 cents.
