This is good news. I'm glad to see that the data dictionary
will be handled more efficiently.

One concern...will 8 be functionally compatible with 5.7?
In other words, will instructions to create, modify, backup,
and restore databases and users that worked in 5.7
continue to work with 8?

Nice article. I had thought about implementing a vault, but thought
it would be much more difficult than this. You make it look easy.
