I agree with you on this--there's a risk involved in using nominally-valid addresses. I did a little digging in the code, and this is actually configurable! In __init__.py, starting about 2100 lines in, you can find the array definition for EMAIL_DOMAINS, which gives a list of domains for the sample email generator. Changing that would change this questionable behavior.
