Love the article, but want to make 1 quick point:
"All of its value, all of the possibilities that open offers, are manifest only when two or more humans work together." (and the thinking behind this, that it's the collaboration that's powerful). I would say, "Yes, and" working openly also develops self confidence and other psychological strengths required for emotional intelligence, whether people are collaborating with you or not. If you dare to put something in the open, and continue to do so without expectation, it's valuable to you at a level we don't often talk about when we consider the benefits of open.
While the Open Decision Framework was in development I forked it and remixed it for an international Greenpeace project. We've benefited a lot from having the ODF to refer back to, and to give to new people contributing. Highly recommended resource!!
