Thanks for this article, David. Xfce is an old favourite - I used it with a number of lower-powered computers running lightweight Linux distros over the years. And I've even got my wife using it: her Manjaro-powered laptop used Xfce as its desktop environment and she loves it.

It's been quite a few years since I've used (or written about) Portable Apps. Good to see the project is still going strong.
