Over the last 20+ year's he's helped numerous business see the benefit in adopting a wide range of Open Source technologies, and has spoken at a number of regional and international conferences including OSDC, linux.conf.au, OpenStack Summit, Linux World and OSCON.
In his spare time he still hacks on MythTV, and debugging random new bits of hardware that really should know better.

I considered using an OpenWRT or dd-wrt device with a USB Audio dongle. I was a bit concerned about driving audio through my firewall from a security perspective as I'd need to share a CIFs or NFS share with the audio files.
I couldn't find a build of the squeezebox client for OpenWRT.
This really was a terrific miniconf with a diverse range of topics. linux.conf.au produces some of the best conference videos around so I highly recommend you catch some of the recordings.
